CHARLES F. KLEIN Roanoke- Charles F. Klein, 77 of Roanoke, passed away at 11:30 pm on Saturday October 29, 2011 at the Roanoke Apostolic Christian Nursing Home. He was born on July 11,1934 in Metamora, IL to Floyd A. and Grace Pierce Klein. He married Mary Lee Rechkemmer on July, 17, 1955 in Roanoke, IL. She died on February 26, 1998. He later married Pat Bosben on December 30, 2000 in Peoria Heights. She died on January 12, 2008. Surviving are three sons, Kent (Connie) Klein of Eureka; Keith (Theresa) Klein of Roanoke; Kevin (Jaime) Klein of Murrayville, IL; one daughter, Annette Monge of Roanoke; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wives. Charles worked at Hallmark Metamora Woodworking as the supervisor of packaging for many years retiring in 1994. He was a member of Woodford County ESDA and was one of the founding members of the Civil Defense in Roanoke. Charles was a member of the Roanoke United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday November 3. The Rev. Ken Sloan Couch will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Wednesday at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke and from 9-10 am on Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Roanoke Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Roanoke United Methodist Church or to the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.knappjohnsonharris.com.
