Mary Dossey
Mary A. Dossey, 97, of Eureka, and formerly of East Peoria, died
at 2 a.m. on January 22, 2012 at Maple Lawn Health Center in
Eureka.
Born December 22, 1914, in Buncombe, IL, to John W. and Dessie
M. Medlin, she married Arthur B. Dossey May 23, 1936 in Frederick,
Maryland. He died May 15, 1997, in Eureka. She was also preceded in
death by a son (Richard) and her sister, Leola Archibald.
Surviving are a son, John (Anne) of Eureka; a daughter, Janice
(Mark) Terrell of Charlotte, NC; and a daughter-in-law, Judy
(Dossey) Kassera of Litchfield Park, AZ; 10 grandchildren and 15
great grandchildren.
She was a member of Eureka Christian Church and a charter member
of the First Christian Church in Creve Coeur, IL.
A memorial service for her will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday,
July 7, 2012 at the First Christian Church in Creve Coeur. The
family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to
the First Christian Church, 604 Groveland Street, Creve Coeur, IL
61610 or to the Eureka Christian Church, 302 S. Main, Eureka, IL
61530.
