Harold Fuchs

Metamora- Harold C. Fuchs Sr., 88 of 1200 E. Partridge,
Metamora passed away at 10:23 p.m., Monday, December 31,
2012.  Private family
funeral services will be held. Pastor Ed Sinclair will officiate.
Burial will
be in Minonk Township Cemetery with military honors. Public
visitation will be
from 5 to 7 Thursday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk.
Harold was born in
Worth Township, Metamora a son of John and Rosalia Dubois Fuchs.
He married
Hazel E. Bigger on July 9, 1947 at Manchester,IA. She died
February 3, 2003.  Survivors include
3 sons, Harold C. (Joyce) Fuchs Jr., Bartonville, John A. (Becky)
Fuchs,
Minonk, and Kenneth E. Fuchs, Marquette Heights; 6 grandchildren,
Chad
(Christa) Fuchs, Peoria, Joe (Stephanie) Fuchs, Minonk, Josh
Fuchs, Benson,
Jeremy (Sheelar Simon) Fuchs, Duluth,MN Jodi Fuchs, Peoria and
Heidi Fuchs,
Marquette Heights; and 8 great grandchildren.  He was
preceded
in death by a daughter, great grandson, 4 brothers and 2
sisters.  Harold retired
from Caterpillar Tractor Company and later worked for John Bearce
Ford,
Washington. He served in the United States Army during WW
II.  He was a member
of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Minonk and the Roanoke
American Legion.
He enjoyed playing cards and was in several dart ball
leagues.  Memorial
