Ida Mae Rocke
Eureka - Ida Mae Rocke, 82, of Eureka, passed away at 8:00 pm on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Eureka Apostolic Christian Home.
She was born on February 23, 1935 in Eureka, IL to Charles Edward and Bena Gudeman Steffen. She married Eldon Rocke on March 1, 1959 in Congerville, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Laurie Dillard of Goodfield; Dianne (Jim) Wettstein of Eureka; Kathy (Norm) Knapp of Roanoke; Gail (Steve) McCane of Bloomington; two brothers, Duane (Lois) Steffen of Congerville; Jerry (Allene) Steffen of Goodfield; thirteen grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Phyllis Zobrist; and five brothers, Eldon, Ed, Marvin, Lyle, and Willis Steffen.
Ida Mae was a woman of strong faith, always putting others first. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
She was a member of the Eureka Apostolic Christian Church where funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Wednesday at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke and from 9-9:45 am on Thursday at the church in Eureka prior to services. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Roanoke.
