Ada Kamarer

Ada M. Kamarer, 85, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL passed away at 5:15 a.m. in Hospice at Palm Beach Gardens Hospital on Tuesday, May 12, 2020.

Ada had previously lived in Jupiter, FL; Peoria, IL; and Pekin, IL.

Born December 9, 1934 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of Cora T. Beachey and Clinton A. Beachey who preceded her in death. She married John Kamarer of East Peoria, IL in 1991. He preceded her in death in 1998. She is also preceded in death by one sister, Marguerite Wince. Her other sister, Mildred Froman, of Normal, IL survives. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Ada was employed by Caterpillar at both Mapleton and Peoria for 30 years retiring in 1991. She attended IL Central College and had an Associate Degree in Interior Design.

She was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church of Juno Beach, FL where a memorial service was held, officiated by Pastor Frank Wagner, on Saturday, August 29. Her burial will be at 1pm on Wednesday September 9, 2020, at Panther Creek Cemetery in rural Roanoke, IL with Pastor Peter Yordy conducting graveside services. The event will be available for public viewing via live video stream on the Knapp-Johnson-Harris Facebook page. Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke, IL will handle final internment.
