Roanoke- Amy Kathryn Lott, 47, of Roanoke, passed away at 5:28 am on Monday, December 24, 2018, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born on August 1, 1971 in Peoria, IL to Larry J. and Renae Riviere Kennel. She married Michael J. Lott on September 4, 1999 in Eureka, IL. He survives.
Also surviving are her two sons, Evan and Andrew Lott both at home; her mother, Renae Kennel of Lowpoint; one brother, Jeff (Marion) Kennel of Metamora; three sisters, Cheryl (Fred) Schlumpf of Peoria; Jeanine (Mike) Proksch of East Peoria; Erika Kennel of Portland, OR; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Kennel and both her paternal and maternal grandparents.
Amy was an x-ray technician and registered sonographer. She started her career working for OSF in Peoria and later in Bloomington at St. Joseph Medical Center. She then entered private practice in Bloomington-Normal working for OB/GYNs, Dr. Chow and Dr. Dudley and currently for Advanced Woman's Healthcare, Dr. Ogunleye and Dr. Emm. She was a member of ARDMS.
Amy was a loving mother and wife who was truly dedicated and devoted to her family. She loved to spend time with family playing games and creating adventures and memorable experiences for her boys. She loved to travel and also enjoyed being the family photo journalist.
She was a grounding force in her family and the center of levity with her lighthearted, unique spirit. Amy cared deeply, loved completely, an example of pure joy and Christianity.
Amy was a member of Crosspoint Community Church in Eureka where funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10 am. Pastor Dave Steinbeck will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Friday at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke, IL. Burial will be in Olio Township Cemetery in Eureka.
