Eureka – Amy G. Waldschmidt, 78, of Eureka, formerly of Roanoke, passed away at 6:40 am on Tuesday May 18, 2021 at Heritage Manor in El Paso.

She was born on December 9, 1942 in rural Washburn, IL to Fredrick and Marium Braun Uphoff.  She married Richard Waldschmidt on August 9, 1980 in Metamora, IL.  He survives.

Also surviving are her children, Earl (Wendy) Schirer of Metamora; Pam Schupp of Peoria; Fred Schirer of Metamora; one brother, Robert (Connie) Uphoff of Metamora; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Stephen Uphoff.

Amy was a homemaker.

She was a member of Liberty Bible Church in Eureka where a memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday May 21, 2021. Memorial visitation will be held from 9-10 prior to the service at the church.
