Angie Haase, 92, of Washington, formerly of Benson, passed away at 4:31 a.m. on Monday, July 5, 2021 at her residence.
She was born on September 6, 1928 in the rural Benson and Roanoke, IL area to Theodore and Angeline Flohr Baumann. She married Lloyd Haase on February 15, 1947 in Benson, IL. He passed away on January 10, 2015.
Surviving are two daughters, Sherril (Chuck) West of Washington, IL; Vicki Bittner of East Peoria, IL; one sister, Marcia Hartzler of Minonk; five grandchildren, Samantha (Brian) Young; Nicole (Dave) Klings; Colleen Forbes; David (Wendy) Merritt; Jeff (Jennifer) Merritt; 11 great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Norma Haase and Ginny Baumann.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Lorna Haase; one son-in-law, Dick Bittner; one sister, Geneva Thompson; and two brothers, Everett and Milford Baumann.
Angie was a beautician all of her life working till the age of 78. Angie loved to crochet, enjoyed water aerobics and loved to dance.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Benson and the Benson American Legion Auxiliary Post # 454.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Benson. Visitation will be held from 10-11 am prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at Clayton Township Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke and to St. Paul Lutheran Church. Online condolences and tributes may be sent to the family at knappjohnsonharris.com.
