Barbara Cavitt

Normal- Barbara A. Cavitt, 73, of
Normal, passed away at 11:22 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2012 at
Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.

Funeral services will be held at
10:00 a.m. Monday, September 17, 2012 at Calvary United Methodist
Church in Normal with Rev. Dr. Randall K. Perry officiating.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2012 at the
church. Memorials may be made to the Calvary United Methodist
Church or Illinois Wesleyan University.

Barbara was born on July 17, 1939
in Western Springs, IL., to Albert and Maryann (Seller) Ross. She
married Roger N. Cavitt on August 20, 1960 in Western Springs,
IL.

Surviving is her husband, Roger of
Normal; son, Ross (Margaret) Cavitt of Marietta, GA; daughter,
Cheryl (Rick) Carlson of Normal; son, Alan (Alicia) Cavitt of
Cumming, GA; six grandchildren, Megan and Caroline Cavitt,
Stephanie and Cameryn Carlson, Riley and Tori Cavitt and one
brother, Alan (Helen) Ross of Bellevue, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her
parents and one brother, Donald Ross.

Barbara operated and owned Cavitt
Calligraphy for over 30 years.

Barbara was a member of the Calvary
United Methodist Church in Normal and Illinois Wesleyan University
AO pi sorority. She volunteered at the McLean County Arts Center
and the David Davis Mansion.

Barbara enjoyed water color
painting and antique collecting, traveling and was a expert
calligrapher.
