Caroompas, 83, Normal, Illinois, formerly of Justice, Illinois,
passed away at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday (October 23, 2012) at Mclean
County Nursing Home in Normal, Illinois. Her funeral will be at
9:30a.m. Friday, October 26, at Holy Apostles Orthodox Christian
Mission, Normal, with Father John Brown officiating. Visitation
will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial
Home with a scripture service at 6 p.m. Interment will be at
Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Park, Illinois. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman
Memorial Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Bertha was born December 20, 1928
in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Louis and Helen (Condes)
Sarris. She married Chris Caroompas on June 5, 1949 in Chicago, IL.
He preceded her in death January 25, 1998.

She is survived by three daughters,
Ruth Ann (Ed) Deane, Chicago, IL.; Elaine (Tom) Kapatos, Normal,
Illinois.; Christie Lou (Phil) Davis, Fort Worth, Texas.; one son,
Thomas Caroompas, West Lafayette, Indiana.; 9 grandchildren and 31
great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her
parents; her husband; and one son Nicholas

Bertha was a former member of
Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Palos Hills,
Illinois and most recently a member of Holy Apostles Orthodox
Christian Mission Church of Normal. Her greatest joy was singing in
her Church choirs.
