Betty Elliott

March 25, 1926 — February 20, 2013

Bloomington. Betty J. Elliott 86,
of Bloomington IL, passed away on Wednesday (February 20, 2013) at
2:08 p.m. at Heartland Health Care in Normal Il.

Her funeral will be at 11 am
Wednesday, February 27, 2013at Trinity Lutheran Church in
Bloomington, with Pastor Chris Nitzel officiating. Visitation will
be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in
East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman
Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial
contributions may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church,
Bloomington.

Betty was born March 25, 1926 in
Leroy, Il, the daughter of Paul and Sylonia Engeljohn Wrage. She
married Elmer Able on March 21, 1948 at Trinity Lutheran Church,
Bloomington. He died on March 16, 1978. She later married Rex
Elliott on September 21, 1982 at Little Brown Church, Nashua,IA. He
died July 2, 1983.

Survivors include her three sons:
Gregory P. Able and Brian (Mary) Able both of Bloomington, Il
,Steve Able of Las Vegas, Nevada; three grandchildren: Kaleigh Able
of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Brandon S.Able and Ryan K.Able both of
Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her
two sisters.

She graduated from LeRoy High
School in 1944 and graduated from Illinois Commercial College,
Champaign in 1945. She was employed by Western Union in
downtown Bloomington

Betty was a long time member of
Trinity Lutheran Church and co-president of the Esther Circle and
other organizations at church. She volunteered at the Mennonite
Thrift Shop and the Mennonite and Brokaw Hospitals for over 30
years. Betty enjoyed playing Canasta and started a card club that
was in existence for over 50 years.
