Roanoke - Bobbie Emlen, 64, of Roanoke, passed away at 10:45 am on Wednesday February 18, 2015 at her residence.

She was born on November 21, 1950 in Peoria, IL to Robert "Red" and Doris Santi Martino.

Surviving are her two children, Kim (Greg) Schneider of Roanoke; Nick (Linda) Emlen of Toronto; two sisters, Jeannine (Fred) DuBois of Rice Lake, WI; Angie (Lee) Hinrichs of Roanoke; one brother, Marty (Natalie) Martino of Marcellus, NY; five grandchildren, Rachel, Abby, and Sadie Schneider; Anthony and Zofia Emlen; and her granddog Moose.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Dominick.

Bobbie had previously worked for the Woodford County Highway Department before starting her career at Caterpillar where she has been employed for the last 13 years.

Bobbie loved sports, especially hockey. She was a life long Cub fan and a die hard Blackhawks fan. She was a longtime season ticket holder of the Peoria Riverman and rarely a night went by where she wasn't watching hockey. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed working outside gardening, landscaping and tending to her flowers.

Most important to Bobbie was her family. She loved to entertain and cook for them when they all got together. She loved every moment spent with her grandchildren and was always there supporting each one in their activities.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roanoke where funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday February 23rd . Monsignor Charles Beebe will officiate. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-4 pm at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke with a prayer service scheduled for 12:45pm, prior to visitation. Additional visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Monday prior to the services at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded after services and burial of ashes will be in Roanoke Township Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodford County Relay for Life and the Roanoke Ambulance. Online condolences may be sent to the family at
