Bloomington - Bruce C. Anderson,
64, of Bloomington passed away on Tuesday, October 01, 2013
at his home in Bloomington. His graveside services will be in
Arlington Memorial Cemetery in Rockford at 1:00 p.m. on Monday,
November 25, 2013 with Pastor Bill Dahlberg officiating.
Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is assisting
with arrangements.
Bruce was born June 01, 1949 in
Rockford, Illinois a son to Erland Otto and Viola G. Jeppson
Anderson.
Bruce is survived by his dear
friends, Amy Schmidgall of Minier, Debbie Schertz Williams of
Bloomington, Jim Williams of Bloomington, Gary Daniels of Normal,
"Pink" Bob Harper of Lexington, Jim Vancil of Minier, John Sulak,
Kim Koweleski, Brad Kjell and Daryl Carlson all formerly of
Rockford.
Bruce was of Swedish descent with
fifteen surviving cousins currently residing in Sweden. He
graduated from Illinois State University with majors in Math and
English. Bruce worked at State Farm Insurance for 25 years as a
systems analyst earning several awards for his commitment and
expertise.
He enjoyed reading and was a strong
supporter of the Bloomington Library Bookmobile. Bruce was an
expert in VHS recording and enjoyed watching classic movies. Bruce
enjoyed "hanging out" at the Collector's Corner comic book shop on
7th St. In Rockford when he was young.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be
made to the Bloomington Library Bookmobile.
