Charles P. Bittles Sr.

Minonk-Charles P. Bittles Sr., 79 of 331 W. 8th St., Minonk passed
away

at 11:05 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at his residence.


Charles was born on March 17, 1934 in Roberts Park, IL a son of
Charles

F. and Erna Aurin Bittles. He married Harriette "Mollie" Light
on

September 18, 1953 at Roberts Park, IL. She survives.


Other survivors include 2 sons, Charles P. Bittles Jr. and Wayne
S.

Bittles both of Minonk; 4 brothers, George (Pat) Bittles, Dalzell,
IL,

Kenneth (Martha) Bittles, Mississippi, Wayne Bittles, Miramar, FL,
and

Paul (Sandy) Bittles, Cape Coral, FL; 1 sister, Faith Zink,
Joliet, IL; 4

grandchildren, Shannon (Bill) Darby, Charles (Lori) Bittles
III,

Jessica (Kevin) Lindley and Ashley Bittles; and 4 great
grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald and 2 great
grandchildren.


Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013
at

Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, Minonk. Rev. Charles Buegel
will

officiate. Inurnment will be in Minonk Twp. Cemetery. Visitation
will be

on Sunday from 3 to 6 pm at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home,
Minonk.


Charles was a diesel mechanic at Interstate Truck Repair in
LaSalle, IL.

He proudly served with the United States Air Force during the
Korean

War.
