Charles Arthur Hardin
Pekin-Charles Arthur Hardin, 58, of Pekin, formerly of Sparland,
passed away suddenly from a heart attack in his home on Thursday
January 3, 2013. He was born on September 18, 1954 to the
late Eldon and Naomi (Fite) Hardin.
He is survived by three daughters, Autumn (Davey) Lenz, of
Lacon, Sunshine Grazier, of Marquette Heights, and Brittney Hardin,
of New York; one son, Tony Barnett, of Henry; two sisters, Eldonna
(Ronald) Williams, of North Pekin, and June Hardin, of West Plains,
MO; four brothers, Dale Hardin, of Lacon, Harold Hardin, of
Caulfield, MO, Darold (Susan) Hardin, of West Plains, MO, and Tom
Hardin, of West Plains, MO; nine grandchildren; one
great-grandchild; and former wives, Connie Schultz and Jill
Franklin.
Charlie was a member of the Boilermakers Local 158. He was
a welder and worked for JT Fennell, CMCO, Hardin Welding, Komatsu,
and Caterpillar, Inc.
Charlie was a loving father, grandfather, and friend who will be
missed by many. He loved to canoe on the Current River in
Missouri. He was a member of the Peoria Casting Club.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday January 8,
2013 at Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon. Cremation rites will be
accorded and ashes will be buried at a later date. In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be made to the Boilermakers Disability
