Bloomington- Clinton "Tubby" Zane
Kirksey II, 49 of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday, October 23,
2012 at his residence at 9:05 am. Funeral services will be
held on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in
Bloomington at 11:00 am with Rev. Frank L. McSwain, Sr.
officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from
9-11 am prior to the Funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the
family in Clinton's name. The family of Clinton has entrusted the
care of their loved one to Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in
Bloomington.
Clinton Zane Kirksey II was born to the union of Clinton Z. and
Sara (Perez) Kirksey on March 2, 1963 in Bloomington. Clinton
graduated from Bloomington High School in 1981 and then attended
Western Illinois University in Macomb.
He leaves to cherish his memory,
his mother Sara Perez Kirksey; two sons, Diontye L. Harris, Micah
Beard; a daughter Jaidin M. Kirksey; one granddaughter Paityn
Harris; special children, Chasity, Michael, Jordan, Austin and
Sheniqua Denham; one sister Frances D. Kirksey; six brothers,
Bradley T. Perez, Burton Perez, Anthony Williams, Andre Kirksey,
Anthony Kennedy, De Vaughn Kirksey and a host of nieces, nephews
and cousins also survive.
Clinton was preceded in death by
his grandparents, his father, and one Uncle, Octavio Perez
He worked as a journeyman for Knapp
Concrete and was a member of Laborer's International Local Union
362 in Bloomington. Clinton also owned and operated JZ Repair.
Clinton enjoyed playing football
during his Bloomington High School days, loved working on cars, and
was known as a true handyman, and also loved debating politics. He
enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved to BBQ.
