Minonk- Rev. Cynthia Builta Taylor, 65, of Minonk passed away
September 8,

2013 at Northwestern Hospital, Chicago, IL after a courageous
battle with

cancer.


Her joyful spirit will be missed by all that knew her.


Cynthia was born July 23, 1948 in Peoria a daughter of Howard P.
and

Alice A. Stimpert Builta.


After graduating from Minonk-Dana-Rutland High School in 1966,
and

Illinois State University, she worked in the restaurant division
of

Marshall Fields and Hampshire Specialty Products. She was a member
of

PEO.


A change in her career path led her to study at the Church of
the

Brethren Seminary. Upon her graduation she ministered to churches
in

Ottumwa, IA, Tower Hill, IL, Virden, IL and Champaign, IL.


Funeral services will be Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 11:00
a.m. at

St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Minonk. Rev. Ed Sinclair
will

officiate. Burial will be in Minonk Township Cemetery. Visitation
will

be on Wednesday from 5 to 7 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home,
Minonk.


Survivors include her mother, Alice Builta, Minonk; her twin
brother,

Steven (Maureen McGrath) Builta of Malta; a sister in law,
Claudia

Mastalio Builta of Palatine; nephews, Jeff (Claudia Cristancho)
Builta of

Norcross, GA, Andrew (Erin Langenstien) Builta of St. Louis, MO;
great

niece, Natalie Builta; niece, Kelly (Patrick) Sanders, Champaign;
great

nieces, Caitlyn and Anabel Sanders; niece, Lindsey (John) Eichholz
of

Harvard; great niece, Makenzee Eichholz and great nephew John
Eichholz.


She was preceded in death by her father, Howard P. Builta and
her

brother Howard C. Builta.


Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Paul's United Church
of

Christ, Minonk or Heritage Health, Minonk. Online condolences may
