David Ropp

August 3, 1964 — June 30, 2013

Bloomington-David L. Ropp, 48, of
Bloomington, passed away at 2:10 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at
104 E. Macarthur Ave in Bloomington.

Funeral services will be held at 10
a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at First Baptist Church in
Bloomington with Rev. Adam Davis officiating.  Visitation will
be from 4-7p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2013 at First Baptist Church in
Bloomington.

Interment will be in Park Hill
Cemetery in Bloomington. Memorials may be made to his children's
education scholarship fund, Salvation Army or McLean County 4H
Foundation.

David was born  August 3, 1964
in Normal, a son of Gordon L. and Roberta L. Cutter Ropp.  He
married Debi Ruddy.

Surviving is his father, Gordon L.
Ropp; a daughter, Dominique, L. Ropp and a son, Daniel, L. Ropp,
both of Sand Springs, OK; sister, Diana L. Ropp, Normal; brother,
Darren L. (Sandra) Ropp, Strawn, IL; nieces and nephews, Shana
Emberton (Kevin Mulloy), Jeff and Troy Emberton, Samantha, Savannah
and Sadie Ropp; great nephew, Levi Emberton and great niece, Avery
Mulloy.

He was preceded in death by his
mother, Roberta L Ropp.

David was a 1982 graduate of Normal
Community High School in Normal.  In high school he was a
multi-sport athlete lettering in football and wrestling; and was
recognized as an All-Conference Defensive-End on the football
team.  He was a 10 year member of the Silverleaf  Let's
Go 4-H Club, a member of the Illinois Junior Jersey Cattle Club and
the First Baptist Church in Bloomington.  In 1980 he showed
the grand champion Jersey cow at the Illinois State Fair which
became the Supreme Grand Champion Over All!

He loved his children with all of
his heart, was a long time motorcycle enthusiast and a Bears
fan.
