Della Wettstein

Eureka -Della Irene Williams Wettstein passed away at 2:30 AM on
Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Apostolic Christian Home in
Eureka, IL. She was born on February 13, 1928 in Dallas City, IL
the daughter of the late Lawrence and Bertha Williams and had
attained the age of 84 years. Della attended high school in Canton,
IL. She married Loren Wettstein on December. 22, 1965 in Eureka, IL
and he preceded her in death in 2002.



Della loved her Lord and served Him faithfully, depending
on Him through her long life. Her family was her place of service
for Him. She loved her husband, Loren, her children, grand-children
and great-grandchildren with all her heart. She loved her life as a
farm wife. An excellent homemaker, Della gardened, preserved her
produce by canning, and then served up memorable meals from the
bounty. Her home canned tomato soup warmed many a cold winter's
evening. A superb seamstress, she clothed her children, even making
a coat for her young daughter. Her sewing machine was in her room
to the end, where she mended items for other residents of the AC
Home. Della was a good neighbor caring for others in their times of
need. Della and her family appreciated the wonderful care she
received while living at the Apostolic Home. The staff treated her
with love and respect and became like family to her.
Della was a member of Eureka Bible Church.

Della is survived by her daughter, Deb Finley and her beloved
son-in-law, Randy of Eureka. She leaves six grandchildren, and six
great-granddaughters. She is survived by five siblings, Perry
(Arlene) Williams, Rochester, IL, Wanda (Wendyl) Lingenfelter,
Norris, IL, Dennis (Beverly) Williams, Lewiston, IL, Verna (Paul)
Mathenia, Staunton, IL, LaNeta Williams, Carlinville, IL.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded
in death by her brother Darrell, sisters Margaret and Diana, and by
a son Russell Tucker.



Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Wednesday,
January 30, 2013 at the Eureka Bible Church in Eureka, IL with
Pastor Tom Swanson officiating. Interment will follow at Olio
Cemetery in Eureka, IL. Visitation will be held at the Eureka Bible
Church in Eureka from 4 until 7 PM on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 and
one hour prior to services at 10 AM on Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Eureka Bible Church of
Eureka, IL.
