Don Unzicker

Don R. Unzicker 76, of Roanoke passed away on September 4, 2018 at the Roanoke Apostolic Christian Home. He was born on April 28, 1942 to Roy and Clara (Springer) Unzicker. He married Jan Stutzman on November 21, 1964 in Archibold, Ohio. She survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.
Don is survived by 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Kevin (Erika) Unzicker and their daughter Lyla of Roanoke, Keith (Shannon) Unzicker and their children Clara, Lucy, Andreas, and Ian of Benson, Kelli Unzicker of Portland, OR, and 1 sister Fern (Bill) DiNicola of Bakersfield, CA.
Don spent two years doing agriculture development work in Greece with Mennonite Central Committee. He returned to IL to farm with his Dad, brother and later his own family. He has been a lifelong member of Metamora Mennonite Church.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Metamora Mennonite Church from 5pm to 7pm. Burial will be on Saturday September 8, 2018 at 9am in Stewart Harmony Cemetery. A memorial Service will follow at the Metamora Mennonite church at 10am. Pastor Eric Potter will officiate. Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
