Benson-Dylan Dean Schroeder, 14, of Benson, IL died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 in Camdenton, MO.
Dylan was born September 30, 1999 in Peoria, IL to Terry and Cindy (Harms) Schroeder. Dylan was a twin to Donny Lee Schroeder.
Dylan is survived by his twin brother, Donny; his grandparents, Gary and Janet Harms of Benson and Jane Schroeder of Peoria; his aunt, Kelley Schroeder of Peoria; aunt and uncle, Mark and Debbie Sullivan of Benson; Gary and Stephanie Harms of Roanoke; cousins, Charlie and Madge Sullivan; Kaden, Brianna, and Calen Harms.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Terry and Cindy Schroeder and his grandpa, Don Schroeder.
He was promoted from Roanoke-Benson Junior High with honors in May 2014. He was confirmed in the spring at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Benson. Dylan was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He enjoyed playing basketball with the Roanoke-Benson Junior High boys. His hobbies were four-wheeling, boating, golfing, fishing, and shooting his guns
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Benson Park. Pastor Nathan Feig will officiate. Business casual attire is appropriate for the service. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 3-7 pm at the Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke. Burial will be in Clayton Township Cemetery in Benson.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to an education fund established for Donny Schroeder in care of Flanagan State Bank in Benson. Online condolences may be sent to the family at knappjohnsonharrisfuneralhome.com.
