Edward O. Komnick
Danvers-Edward
Otto Komnick, 92, of rural Danvers passed into the arms of Jesus at
10:30am on Saturday,
December 1, 2012 at his farm home of 90 years.
Funeral services will be held at
10:00 am on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Crossroads Chapel in
Bloomington with the Rev. Mark Wallace officiating. Visitation will
be held from 5:00-8:00 pm on Friday, December 7, 2012 at
Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington and one hour
prior to
services at church on Saturday.
Interment will be at Park Hill
Cemetery in Bloomington. Memorial contributions may be made to
Faith Hope and Love, Wesley Weekend Ministries, or to Crossroads
Chapel in Edward's name.
Edward was born on August 20, 1920
in Bloomington the son of Otto H. and Olga H. (Knoth) Komnick. He
married Lois June Chaddon in Bloomington on June 28, 1942. She
preceded him in death on October 16, 2010. He later married Helen
Harmon on May 14, 2011 in Covel, IL, she survives.
In addition to his wife Helen,
Edward is survivived by his four daughters, Karolyn (Mike) Lippert
of Mission, Texas, Darla (Bob) Engh of Leander, Texas, Sara (John)
Haney of Bloomington, and Barbara (Gus) Stubbs of Meriden,
Connecticut; one son, Larry (Cheryl) Komnick of Cape Coral, FL;
three stepdaughters, Jo(Mark) Cain, Edelstein, IL, Pam (Gary)
Brashear of Weldon, IL, and Sue Mooberry of Lacon, IL; and one
stepson, Steve(Allison) Harmon of Bartonville, IL. Also surviving
are 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, several
step-grandchildren, and step great-grandchildren.
Edward was preceded in death by his
wife, Lois and his parents.
Ed lived on and farmed his family's
farm his whole life. He was also retired from the maintenance
department of Illinois State University in Normal. He was a member
of Crossroads Chapel in Bloomington, Full Gospel Businessman, and
was very involved in Walk to Emmaus Street Ministry, as well as
Faith Hope and Love, and Wesley Weekend Prison Ministries.
