Elbert D. "Sonny" Moreland-

Lacon-Elbert D. "Sonny" Moreland, 88, of Lacon passed away at
8:00 p.m. on Wednesday January 23, 2013.  He was born on April
5, 1924 in Lacon to the late James and Emma (Sharick)
Moreland.  He married Wanda E. Lane on June 26, 1947 in Lacon;
she preceded him in death on August 31, 2012.

His survived by one brother, James Moreland, of Lacon; one
sister, Doris Brown, of Lacon; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister and one half-brother.

Sonny was a member of the Boilermakers Union Local #60 and
retired in 1974 after working 25 years as a boilermaker.  He
was a general handyman and loved to tinker with cars and
lawnmowers.

Sonny was a loving husband and friend to everyone and will be
dearly missed.

Cremation rites have been accorded and graveside services will
be held at the Lacon Cemetery at    a later
