Roanoke- Emma Jean Alliss, 77, of Roanoke, IL passed away at 8:39 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at her residence with her family by her side.

She was born on October 18, 1938 in Broadhead, KY a daughter of Alfred H. and Gracie Mae Singleton Lovings. She married Forrest Alliss, Jr. on January 29, 1958 in Eureka, IL. He passed away on March 24, 2004.

Survivors include her children, Cathy (Richard) Lash of Pekin, IL; Connie Brooks of Creve Coeur, IL; Lori (David) Armstrong of Eureka, IL; Peggy (John) Marshall of Roanoke, IL; Danny Alliss (Jennifer Harp) of Kenosha, WI; Michael (Trisha) Alliss of Congerville, IL; very special brother-in-law with whom she resided for the last 11 and half years Danny Lepretre of Roanoke, IL; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one great grandson, Matthew Lash, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Emma was a loving and caring housewife all of her life.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke. Pastor Dennis Kennell will officiate. Visitation will be held from noon-2 p.m. before the services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Roanoke Township Cemetery. Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke is handling arrangements for the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Hospital. Online condolences may be sent to the family at knappjohnsonharris.com.
