Everett Aeschliman

Everett Aeschliman, 96, of Benson, IL passed away at 10:00a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the Roanoke Apostolic Christian Home surrounded by his wife of 72 years and his children.
Everett was born on December 10, 1921 in Benson, IL a son of Charles and Meta Rhodes Aeschliman. He married Pearl Nelson on February 20, 1946 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Wenona. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Barb Isaia of Roanoke; Wayne Aeschliman of Lakeland, FL; Roy Aeschliman of Goodfield; Eric(Julie) Aeschliman of Minonk; one brother, Ernie Aeschliman of Roanoke; two sisters, Shirley Barth of Minonk; Betty Lou Smith of Flanagan; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Herbert Aeschliman and sister, Agnes Durre.
Everett farmed in the Rutland and Benson area for over 70 years.
Everett was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Roanoke where he served as an elder and secretary of the church council. He also served as president and was on the Benson Elevator Board for many years.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Roanoke. Rev. Bruce Scarbeary will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Roanoke and also from 9-9:45a.m. on Saturday before services at the church. Burial will be in the Roanoke Township Cemetery. Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke is handling arrangements for the family.
