Gary P. Hyatt

Lacon-Gary P. Hyatt, 68, of Lacon, formerly of Pekin, passed
away at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday January 8, 2013 in Lacon.  He was
born on March 21, 1944 in Pekin to the late Russell F.  and
Viola F. (Wade) Hyatt.  He married Paula Sue Woodrow on June
16, 1963 in Pekin; she survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Scot (Jeanette) Hyatt, of Omaha,
NE, and Randy Hyatt, of Manito; one brother, Fred (Mary) Hyatt, of
Springlake, IL; eight grandchildren; and 10
great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

Gary was a retired maintenance worker in the fuel industry;
having worked for Aventine, Corn Products, Pekin Energy, and
Williams.  He had been a regular blood donor since he was 17
years old.

Gary was and avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and
garden.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother
and friend who will be dearly missed.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday January 12, 2013 at
Lenz Memorial Home in Lacon; Pastor Wendy Popp will
officiate.  Burial will follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens in
Pekin. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday January
11, 2013, also at Lenz Memorial Home.  Memorials may be may to
the Red Cross Blood Service.
