Helen Sauder

Roanoke- Helen R. Sauder, 79, of Metamora, formerly of Roanoke,
passed away at 10:05 am on Tuesday October 23, 2012 at Snyder
Village Health Center in Metamora.

She was born on November 25, 1932 in Washington, IL to Ralph B.
and Mabel M. Megenity DeBolt. She married H. Lee Sauder on October
25, 1952 in Deer Creek, IL. He died on June 17, 1990.

Surviving are two sons, Scott (Andrea) Sauder of Roanoke; Lewis
(Heather) Sauder of Plainfield, IL; one daughter, Cynthia (Keith)
Reynolds of San Jose, CA; one brother, Gerald (Doris) DeBolt; one
sister, Shirley (Allen) Briggs both of Washington; a special
friend, Denis Waldschmidt; seven grandchildren, Scott Sauder Jr;
Heidi (Jarrod) Doty; Katie (Jonathan) Welch; Kelli Reynolds; Holly
Sauder; Sam Sauder; Emily Sauder; and one great grandson, David
Welch.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one
sister.

Helen was the owner of Sauder Shoe Store in Roanoke for several
years.

She enjoyed traveling in her retirement years and was active in
the Caterpillar Retirees Club.

Helen was a member of the Roanoke United Methodist Church where
she had been active with the Methodist Women. She also volunteered
at the Women's Pregnancy Center in Peoria.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Friday October 26,
2012 at the Roanoke United Methodist Church. Rev. Ken Sloan Couch
will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Thursday at
Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke. Burial will be in the
Roanoke Township Cemetery.

Methodist Church or to the Scleroderma Association. Online
