Ida Mae Barth
Roanoke - Ida Mae Barth, 85, of Roanoke, passed away at 6:20 pm on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke.
She was born on September 5, 1932 in Roanoke, IL to John and Florence Beer Hangartner. She married Morris G. Barth on January 13, 1952 in Eureka, IL. He passed away on December 28, 2010.
Surviving are her six children, Robert (Jeanie) Barth of Morton, IL; Sandra (Lee) Beer of Milford, IN; Carol (Randy) Feucht of Roanoke, IL; James (Julie) Barth of Metamora, IL; Joe (Terri) Barth of Congerville, IL; Mike (Joyce) Barth of Roanoke, IL; one brother, Eugene (Evelyn) Hangartner of Roanoke, IL; one sister, Mary Ellen (Steve) Wiegand of Mackinaw, IL; 18 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons, Chad Beer and Alex Barth, and one great granddaughter, Belle Barth.
Ida Mae worked many years at Roanoke Farmers Association helping her husband Morris where she fostered many friendships over the years. She was always willing to help others and was active in many community activities and fundraisers benefiting others. She loved spending time in her garden tending to her flowers.
She was a member of the Roanoke Apostolic Christian Church where funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 12 at 10:00 am. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Monday at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke and from 9-9:45 am on Tuesday prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
