Bloomington- James "Rommie" Tyrone
Cameron, 53 of Bloomington, passed away at 4:19 p.m. Sunday,
September 30, 2012 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2012
at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 866 Monroe Street,
Ypsilanti, Michigan with Pastor James E. Hendricks officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at
Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington and also one
hour prior to the church services in Michigan. Additional
visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Stark
Funeral Services in Ypsilanti, Michigan.Interment will be in United
Memorial Gardens in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Memorials may be made to
the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society.
James was born on June 1, 1959 in
Ypsilanti, Michigan to James Douglas and Willie Mae (Taylor)
Cameron. He married Stacy Shaw on June 2, 1990 in St. Louis,
Missouri.
Surviving is his wife, Stacy of
Bloomington; five sons, Damien (Shanetta) of Bloomington; Devinne
of Bloomington; De'Andre of Garden City, Michigan; Matthew of St.
Louis, MO; James of Ypsilanti, Michigan; three daughters, Nicole
(Jermaine) and Shondalyn both of Ann Arbor, Michigan; Makeia (Jon)
of Oceanside, California; his loving mother, Willie Mae (James)
Matthews of Huntsville, Alabama; four brothers, Lauren (Kitty) of
Ypsilanti, Michigan; Karlace of Indianapolis, Ind; Danny and
Darrell both of Michigan; one sister, Dana (Calvin) of Huntsville,
Alabama; 26 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews; a
special friend, Cindy Hill of Flint, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his
beloved father, James "Shorter" Cameron and two brothers, Rev.
Darrly and Shawn.
He worked for Star Transport in
Morton as a truck driver.

Down Motorcycle family of Flint, Michigan and also his Star
Transport family.
James loved riding his
motorcycle.
