Roanoke - Janice Studer, 77, passed away at 8:33 pm on Wednesday February 14, 2018 at the Sugar Creek Alzheimer's Care Center in Normal, IL.

She was born on January 4, 1941 in Earlville, IL to Ernest B. and Pauline Thompson Sprowls. She was married to Philip "Butch" Vogel for 20 years and later married Verle Studer on July 10, 1993 in Eureka, IL. He passed away on January 12, 2010.

Surviving are her children, Jeff Vogel of Peoria ; Jill Hahn of Myrtle Beach, SC; Patti (Mike) Ackerman of Bloomington; six grandchildren, Austin, Brock, and Sarah Vogel; Alexis, Madelyn, and Michael Ackerman; one brother, Carl (Nancy) Sprowls of Farmington, IL; two sisters, Paula Sprowls of Speer, IL; Wanda (Mike) Cutler of Wyoming, IL; three step children, Chuck (Janis) Studer; Rick (Laurie) Studer; Jaime (Skip) Sauder.

She was preceded in death by her Gram, her parents, one sister, Nancy Cluney, and one nephew, Brian Cox.

Janice was an elementary teacher at Metamora Grade School for 25 years.

She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and crocheting, but especially enjoyed spending time with family and those she loved.

Visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Sunday February 18th at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke. Private family funeral services will follow. Burial will be in the Roanoke Mennonite Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer's Associations. Online condolences may be sent to the family at knappjohnsonharris.com.
