John Weber
Roanoke - John A. Weber, 72, of Roanoke, passed away at 4:15 pm on Monday May 18, 2015 at the OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
He was born on October 22, 1942 in Greene Township, Woodford County, Illinois to John E. and Elizabeth Koch Weber. He married Cheryl Ladendorf on September 12, 1964 in Roanoke, IL. She passed away on December 13, 2001.
Surviving are two sons, Robbie (Arlene) Weber of Fishers, IN; Jonathan (Jennifer) Weber of Roanoke; two daughters, Kim (Andrew) Luginbuhl of Roanoke: Amee (Todd) Meinhold of Benson; three sisters, Joan (Delmar) Kolb of Benson; Ruth (Ethan) Fish of Milbank, SD; Barbara (Dale) Hostetler of Benson; and 14 grandchildren.
John worked for SPAFAS/Charles River's Lab in Roanoke for 38 years before retiring.
He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roanoke and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Pops loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing. A huge sports fan, he enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in their activities and was a die hard Yankees and Celtics fan.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Friday May 22nd at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roanoke. Monsignor Charles Beebe will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Thursday at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke with a prayer service at 3:45 pm prior to visitation.
Burial will be in Roanoke Township Cemetery.
