Lila R. Decker 86, of Roanoke, IL passed away on January 5, 2019 at Snyder Village in Metamora. She was born on September 29, 1932 in Roanoke, IL to the late Samuel and Ida (Rechkemmer) Fischer. She married Wayne W. Decker on June 10, 1951 in Minonk, IL. He preceded her in death on November 21, 2006.
She was preceded in death by 1 son: Ron Decker; 5 brothers: Marvin, Wilmer, Lester, Gerald, Richard Fischer; and 1 sister: Ann Freesmeyer.
Lila is survived by 4 daughters: Connie (Fred) Meyer of Eureka; Joyce (Joe) Fever of Oreana, IL; Jeanne (Dave) Daraban of Smithville, MO; Jayne (Mark) Frerichs of Roanoke; 2 sons: James "Jim" Decker of Roanoke; Tony (Lynn) Decker of Roanoke; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Laverne (Albert) Butikofer of Elgin, IA and Velda Fisher of Aurora, IL.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Roanoke where she filled several different roles. She was affectionately known around town as the "Water Lady" as she helped to deliver water to the local farmers for Decker Water Service. Lila was a very loving mom, gramma and great gramma. Her home was always open to all that needed a place to call home.
A visitation will be held on Saturday January 12, 2019 from 9 to 11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Roanoke. Funeral Service will begin at 11 am. Reverend Bruce Scarbeary will officiate. Burial will follow at Roanoke Township Cemetery.
