Loretta "Retta" Theresa Hosea Kinerd, 64 of San Francisco, CA,
formerly of Bloomington passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at
San Francisco General Hospital in San Francisco, CA at 3:25 am.
A private service will be held and cremation rites will
be accorded.
The family of Loretta has entrusted Kibler-Brady-Ruestman
Memorial Home in Bloomington to care for their loved one. In lieu

Loretta was born on April 2, 1949 in Bloomington, IL the
daughter of Lawrence J. and Josephine (Mazique) Hosea.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, David (Christena)
Hosea of St. Louis, Missouri, Bonnesa Kinerd of San Francisco,
California, Michael J. (Shanera) Hosea of Danville, IL, and Teresa
Kinerd of Bloomington, Illinois; her mother, Josephine Hosea of
Bloomington; sister, Synabra Martin of Bloomington, sister,
Wilhelmina Martin of Bloomington, sister, Hattie Pearl Miller of
Bloomington, brother, Don B. Hosea of Bloomington, sister, Kim R.
Hosea of Los Angeles California, sister, Arlene M. (Ben Ryburn)
Hosea of Normal, and brother, Arthur W. Hosea of Bloomington.
Loretta is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 7
great-grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews,
and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence J. Hosea, her
maternal grandparents, William McKinley Mazique and Arthur and
Hattie Moore , paternal grandparents, Matthew and Cartheda Hosea,
sister, Joann Katherine Hosea- Smith, brother, Lawrence Mazique and
grandson Ryan Michael Bacon.
Loretta worked as a phlebotomist in Los Angeles, as an assistant
childcare teacher at learning centers in St. Louis and Bloomington
and retired as a Home Care Aide assisting people with disabilities
in 2008.
She loved her family and spoiling them with her talents as a
great cook. She loved to dance and meet new people from all walks
of life. Loretta was a generous person and she would share whatever
she had with a person in need.
