Lucile M. Yordy



Eureka-Lucile M. Yordy, 101, of Eureka, IL
formerly of Flanagan, IL passed away at 10:25a.m. on Sunday,
February 10, 2013 at Maple Lawn Health Center in
Eureka.

She was born on May 20, 1911 in rural Flanagan, IL a daughter of
John E. and Laura Slagel Neuhauser. She married Vernon R. Yordy on
November 26, 1930 in Flanagan, IL. He passed away on January 7,
1974.



Survivors include one son, Leland(Carol) Yordy of Flanagan, IL;
two daughters, Gladys(Fred) Mengarelli of San Diego, CA;
Beverly(Dr. John) Henderson of Peoria Heights, IL; one sister,
Mildred Beeson of Texas; one half sister, Dorothy Miller of
Arizona; 10 grandchildren, Dr. Michael(Kathy) Yordy of Muscle
Shoals, AL; Michelle(Phil) Birt of Florence, AL; Laurel(Dr. Alex
Zapolanski) Mengarelli of Park Ridge, NJ; Jay(Leu) Mengarelli of
San Diego, CA; Brenda(Dennis) Gilmore of Gridley, IL;
Suzette(Clarence) Hale of Camarillo, CA; John Henderson, Jr. of
Mapleton, IL; Dr. Brett Henderson of Las Cruses, NM; Jeffrey(Traci)
Henderson of Irving, CA; Jill(Ryan Freemyer) Henderson of Las
Cruses, NM; 22 great grandchildren, Brook, Lucas, John, Adam,
Alyssa, Brianna, Philip, Aaron, Noel, Kaelan, Gavin, Jack III,
Alexandra, Clayton, Brittany, Maverick, Brooke, Ryan, Payton, Ben,
Max, Athen, and two great great-grandchildren, Gage and Kyra.



She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Robert Yordy,
two brothers, J. Milton and Kenneth Neuhauser; two sisters, LaVerne
Johnson, Helen Kennell; and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Yordy.



She was a member of Prairieview Mennonite Church in rural
Flanagan.



She enjoyed baking, quilting and sewing.



She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.



"Grandma Yordy" was loved by many and will be greatly
missed.



Per Lucile's request a celebration of life and burial will be
held "when the weather is nice." Cremation will be accorded.
Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is handling
arrangements for the family.
