Congerville- Lyford R. "Cliff" Klein, 79, of Congerville, passed away at 4:47 pm on Tuesday October 20, 2015 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.
He was born on August 12, 1936 in Metamora, IL to John and Helen Leih Klein. He married Shirley Gallianetti on October 8, 1955 in Roanoke, IL.
Surviving is his wife, Shirley of Congerville; one daughter, Cindy (Don) Oltman of Roanoke; two sons, Mark (Erin) Klein of Stoughton, WI; Rodney (Kristi) Klein of Edgerton, WI; one brother, George (Karen) Klein of FL; one sister, Ancilla Sapp of MO; and four grandchildren, Dustin (Sarah Jensen) Oltman; Amber (Adam) Williams; Tess Klein; and Carter Klein.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joe Klein.
Cliff worked in the sales department at Martin Equipment of Illinois for 35 years.
He loved to travel and enjoyed collecting items with Shirley over the years. He especially enjoyed the times spent in Wisconsin at their summer home.
Funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Friday morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roanoke.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Thursday at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke and from 9:30 - 10:00 am prior to the services Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Roanoke Township Cemetery.
