Madeline Moore

October 29, 1915 — September 29, 2013

Normal - Madeline J. Moore, 97, of Normal, passed away at 2:20
a.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Advocate BroMenn Medical
Center in Normal.

Funeral services will be at 10:30
a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in
Bloomington with Pastor Thomas Wirsing officiating.
Visitation will be From 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2013
at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington, and one hour
prior to the service on Thursday at the church.  A prayer
service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday following the visitation
at the memorial home with Rev. Jim Davis officiating.
Interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in

Lutheran Church, Western Ave. Community Center or BroMenn Advocate
Adult Day Care Services.  Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home
is assisting the family with arrangements.

Madeline was born on October 29,
1915 in Bloomington, a daughter to Harry and Anna W. (Rueger)
Davis.  She married Shamel Moore on August 30, 1941 in
Ottumwa, Iowa.  He preceded her in death on December 30,

Leaving behind to cherish her
memory; a son, Tom (Janice) Moore, Arlington, TX; a daughter, Amy
L. (Tony) Cottone, Normal; a brother, Melvin (Bud) Davis; sister in
law, Fran Davis; six grandchildren, Dawn Schleicher, Heidi Bosquez,
Nick Cottone, Andria Cottone, Ashley Sharp, Tommy Cottone; ten
great grandchildren, Danielle Schleicher, Kylie Cottone, Taylor
Schleicher, Gabby Bosquez, Xander Bosquez, Nate Bosquez, Jocelyn
Sullivan, Chenzo Cottone, Gianna Sullivan, Rocco Cottone, a host of
nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her
parents; her husband; a son, Ron Moore; a daughter, Lori Ann

Madeline worked for Workers
Progress Administration as well as the McLean County Farm Bureau
and retired from First Federal Savings and Loan of Bloomington at
age 77 and retired from Western Ave. Community Center in
Bloomington at age 89.

She was a lifelong member of
Trinity Lutheran Church and a graduate of Trinity Lutheran
Schools.  She lived her church life in her words "to help in
any possible way".  She did this by serving as a Sunday school
teacher for 4 year olds for over 25 years. She served for many
years as a board member of the church evangelism committee.
She served on the board of stewardship where she was secretary and
was president of the Lutheran Women's Mission League, she was a
charter member of The Women's Auxiliary of The Illinois Society of
Professional Engineers, and served in a variety of other positions
over the years.

She loved her family, friends and
her dogs; Rudy, Brady and Tiff.
