Marilyn Walker
Bloomington-Marilyn S. Walker, 55, of Bloomington,
passed away at 4:35 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at OSF St. Joseph
Medical Center in Bloomington. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m.
Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in
Bloomington with Rev. Frank L. McSwain, Sr. officiating. Visitation
will be from 9-11 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Bloomington. In
lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in Marilyn's
name. The family of Marilyn has entrusted Kibler-Brady-Ruestman
Memorial Home in Bloomington with the care of their loved one.
Marilyn was born on November 12,
1956 in Chicago to Jimmy and Mabel (Jones) Walker.
Surviving is one daughter, Yaphet
Walker of Creve Couer, IL., four sons, Sean (Megan) Walker, Seth
Walker, Shannon Walker and Shelton Walker all of Bloomington; three
sister, Jimmetta Walker of Bloomington; Cynthia Bradley of Chicago;
Pamela Walker of Bloomington; 22 grandchildren and two great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, three brothers, Donald Walker, Steven Walker and J.C.
Rhodes.
Marilyn graduated from Marshall
High School in Chicago and from Pivot Point in Chicago as a
cosmetologist.
Marilyn loved to cook and enjoyed
watching movies. She enjoyed being with her family, her children
and grandchildren. She was a awesome mother and was her kids best
friend and was a good friend to a lot of people.
