Mary Lou Sorokowski

Normal - Mary Lou Sorokowski, 81,
of Normal, passed away at 3:20 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2013 at
Heritage Health Care in Normal. A Celebration of Life will be at 11
a.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 at Eastview Christian Church in
Bloomington with Rev. Mark Warren officiating. Family will receive
friends one hour before the services at the church on Friday. In
lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Eastview Christian
Church. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington is
assisting the family with arrangements.

Mary Lou was born November 21, 1931
in Blytheville, AR., to Samuel Morris and Frankie Mae (Epperson)
Singleton. She married John S. Sorokowski on December 31, 1953 in
Blytheville, AR. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2002.

Survivors include two sons, Anthony
(Sherry) Warrington of Molino, Fla; John (Peggy) Sorokowski of
Spring Grove, IL; one daughter, Julie (Brent) Heinold of
Bloomington; eight grandchildren, Shane (Amy) Warrington, Tara
Thrasher, Jennifer (Brian) Johnson, David Sorokowski, Jamie
Sorokowski, Tyler Heinold, Payton Heinold and Luke Heinold; seven
great grandchildren, Morgan Warrington, Zane Warrington, Ariel
Thrasher, Makayla Thrasher, Alex, Abigail and Anna Johnson; three
sisters, Geraldine Keeling of Missouri; Doris Choat of Buncombe,
IL; Annie (Bill) Enyart of Lansing, Michigan; one brother, Morris
(Brenda) Singleton of Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her
parents, husband and two brothers.

Mary Lou graduated from high school
in Blytheville, AR

She was a member of the Eastview
Christian Church and Spirit Lifters at the church

Mary Lou was actively involved in
her church and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her
grandchildren.
