Mary Wier

Mary Maurine Baker Wier, 101, passed away Sunday, February 17,
2013.  She was born February 16, 1912, in Lacon, Illinois, to
the late Phillip Owen and Ethel Baldwin Baker.  Maurine
graduated from Lacon High School in
1930.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church in
Titusville, a long-time member of the Titusville Women's Club and
volunteered for the Jess Parrish Hospital Auxiliary for many
years.  A loving mother and grandmother, she will be deeply
missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Harold Wier;
brother, William A.
Baker; and grandson, Richard L. Wier. Survivors include her
four sons, Ronald L. Wier, Phillip G. Wier (Lois),
William S. Wier (Shari) and Stephen H. Wier (Debra); 12
grandchildren; 21 great
grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday February 23, 2013 at 12:00 noon
at Lacon United congregational Church of
Christ in Lacon. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church.
Burial will
be in the Lacon Cemetery.
