Nelda Broers

Nelda "Nel" Sue Broers passed away on Tuesday,
October 9, 2012 at Saint Josephs Home in Lacon, IL.

She was born on October 10, 1947 in Pontiac, IL the daughter of
the late Vern and Anna (Renken) Broers and had attained the age of
64.

Nel was a CNA for the Roanoke Apostolic Christian Home for over
23 years. Loving and caring for those in the home was amongst her
favorite things. She loved animals and was an avid traveler,
traveling extensively to Ireland, England, Germany, France, Austria
and Hungary to name a few. Nel was well-read and enjoyed
reading.

She is survived by her brother, Harley and his wife Janyce
Broers of Chillicothe, IL and by several nieces and nephews. In
addition to her parents, Nel was preceded in death by her brother,
Ronald Broers.

As per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Services
will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to
any local animal shelter or public library. Knapp-Johnson-Harris
