Washington - Nina Uftring, 69, of Washington, passed away at 7:55 pm on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Washington Christian Village in Washington, IL.
She was born on October 1, 1948 in Sikeston, MO to Robert and Neva Jones Harris.
Surviving is her son, Cory (Angie) Uftring of Washington, IL, two grandchildren, Ethan and Claire Uftring; two sisters, Pat (Dale) Barnard of Pontiac; Betty (John) Bertolo of Roanoke; and one brother, Mike Harris of Landenberg, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Nina was a field dispatcher for SBC/AT&T for over 30 years before retiring in 2004. After retiring, she enjoyed working in the garden and landscaping center for Home Depot in Florida and Bloomington.
Nina enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially going to all of her grandchildren's activities. She loved her dogs and spending time outdoors anytime she could.
Per her request, cremation rites will be accorded and a celebration of her life will be held at 7pm on Tuesday evening at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke. Memorial visitation will be held from 5-7pm prior to services on Tuesday evening.
