Patricia "Pat" Remmert

Patricia “Pat” Remmert, 81, of El Paso formerly of Roanoke passed away at 3:35 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Carle Eureka Hospital.

She was born on November 27, 1941 in Peoria, IL a daughter of Sam and Ethel Ivins Martino. She married Pete Remmert on November 22, 1961 in Illinois. He passed away on December 28, 2001.

Survivors include two daughters, Lynne (B.) Gilbert of Congerville; Denise (Joe) Armes of Normal; three grandchildren, Matthew (Laura) Armstrong of Brenham, TX; Grayson (Kourtney) Gilbert; Macy Gilbert; three great grandchildren, Bentley, Karsen and Landon.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pat worked at DuPont in El Paso as a bookkeeper for over 30 years. She also worked at Johnny Martin Chevrolet in Roanoke and Barker Chevrolet in Bloomington.

Private family services were held at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke. Rev. Michael Peters officiated. Private family burial will be at Secor Cemetery. Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke is handling arrangements for the family.
