Ralph was raised by his grandparents, Clarence and Anna

minister.  He was in the Boy Scouts.  He attended Lash
High School and was a graduate of the Zanesville Automotive
School.  He started being a mechanic when he was 13 years
old.

Ralph was drafted into the U.S. Army, but he volunteered to go
into the U.S. Navy.  He achieved the rank of Aviation
Machinist Mate 1st Class.  Ralph was stationed at
Ottumwa, IA, at the Naval Training Station. He later worked in
sales in the trucking industry and drove the school bus for
Sparland and Midland for 10 years.

Ralph's proudest moment was meeting his wife Betty on a blind
date.  They raised four children.  They now have 10
grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 6
step-great-grandchildren.  He was a wonderful husband, father,
grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed.
