Robert Bayer

ROANOKE- Robert E. Bayer, 79, of Roanoke, passed away at 2:17 AM
on Saturday February 22, 2014, at Heartland Manor Care Center in
Peoria.

He was born on September 22, 1934 in Wyoming, IL, a son of Edwin
and Nettie Ault Bayer. He married Margaret Grant on October 7, 1956
in Elmira, IL. She Survives.

Also surviving are his daughter, Annette (Michael) Bimmerley,
Rockford; son, Dana Bayer, Roanoke; grandchildren, Nick and Robert
Bimmerly; 2 brothers, James Bayer, Wyoming, IL, Gary Bayer, Topeka,
KS; and 1 sister, Mildred Stubbs, Scottsdale, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Florence
Muckey, and Ida Bayer.

Robert enjoyed spending summers in Mesa, AZ. He also enjoyed to
play golf and played in the Roanoke Golf Summer League in years
past.

Memorial service will be on Wednesday February 26, 2014, at 3 PM
at Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke. Rev. Charlie Graul
will officiate. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the
service from 2-3 PM at the funeral home. Cremation has been
accorded and burial of cremains will be in Wyoming, IL at a later
date.
