Robert Peddicord

Normal- Robert E. Peddicord 91, of
Normal Il, passed away at 4:43pm, Saturday, Dec 29, 2012 at Meadows
Mennonite Home in Meadows Il. Funeral services will be at 11a.m.
Wednesday January 2, 2013 at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in
Bloomington with Rev. Kurt Flora officiating. Visitation will be
one hour prior to the services at the memorial home. Interment will
be in Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington with military rites being
accorded by the Bloomington-Normal American Legion Honor Guard.
Memorials may be made to the McLean County Alzheimers
Association.

Robert was born August 26, 1921 in
Normal the son of Leland C and Ruth (Shields) Peddicord. He married
Irene Anderson on July 18, 1942 in St. Louis Mo, She preceded him
in death on July 24, 2008.

He is survived by one daughter,
Debby (Fred) Schoening of Towanda Il; one grandson Aric (Corina)
Schoening of Bloomington and one grandaughter, Trudi (Dan Day)
Schoening of Streamwood Il.

He was preceded in death by his
parents, his wife Irene and one brother, William Peddicord.

He was a WWII Army Veteran,
stationed in the Philippines.

Robert worked for the Chicago &
Alton GM&O and the Illinois Central Gulf Railroads for 43
years, from 1938 _ 1981, serving as a conductor. He enjoyed
hunting, fishing and playing golf. He was an avid St. Louis
Cardinals and Chicago Bears Fan. Robert will be remembered as a
wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly
missed by those who knew and loved him.
