Roanoke - Roberta Jane Faucon, 83, of Roanoke, passed away at 8:30 am on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke.
She was born December 16, 1934 in Pontiac, Michigan to George and Marjorie Mars Kern. She married Arthur W. Faucon on September 20, 1952 in Portsmith, VA. He passed away on March 1, 2012.
Surviving are her four daughters, Wendy (Steve) Blunier of Roanoke; Sue (Robert) Burton of Morton; Ellen (Mike) Grogg of Chillicothe; and Sally (Robert) Romersberger of Congerville; one sister, Gerri (Harley) Moser of Roanoke; two brothers, Tom (Alet) Kern of Arizona; and David (Joy) Kern of Texas; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson.
Jane was a homemaker but also worked for Roanoke-Benson Unit District #60 in the cafeteria at Sower's Elementary School for many years.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Roanoke where she was active in Friends in Faith, the church choir, and had taught Sunday school.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday January 25, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Roanoke. Rev. Bruce Scarbeary will officiate. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 pm also at Trinity Lutheran Church and from 9-9:45 am on Thursday prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
