Shirley Paternoga

Shirley Paternoga, 77, of Edwards, IL, passed away at 10:15
A.M., Monday, March 3, 2014 at Lee Memorial Hospital in Ft. Meyers,
FL.


She was born September 11, 1936 in Chenoa, IL to Bert and Frances
(Leake) Gaines. She married Kurt Paternoga on April 5, 1986 in
Brimfield, IL. He survives.


Also surviving are her step-children; Annette (Mark) Barrett of
Elmwood, Robert (Chris) Paternoga of Brimfield, Joe (Bethany)
Paternoga of Woodstock, IL; one brother; Jim (Donna) Gaines of
Pekin, and 10 grandchildren, including Michael Laibinis of Atlanta,
GA.


She was preceded in death by one husband Jerry Beer and one
daughter Sandy (Gabe) Laibinis.


Shirley was the secretary for Dr. Raymond Cercsoli, D.D.S. in
Roanoke for many years before retiring.

Shirley lived in central Illinois her entire life. Over the last 25
years she enjoyed making lasting relationships while wintering in
Florida with her husband. She is also a member of Redeemer Lutheran
Church in Peoria.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2014 at
Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke, IL. Pastor Joe Meyer
will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at
the funeral home. Burial will be in Roanoke Township
Cemetery.
