Minonk-Shirley E. Zivney, 87, of Minonk, IL
passed away at 9:45p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Heritage
Health Nursing Home in Minonk, IL.

He was born on December 12, 1924 in Alma Center, WI a son of Art
and Esther Swendsen Zivney. He married Shirley R. Jochums on
October 7, 1951 in Minonk, IL. She survives.



Survivors also include two sons, Greg(Diane) Zivney of Normal,
IL; Joe Zivney of Lovington, IL; one daughter, Nancy Zivney of
Milwaukee, WI; one sister, Marjorie Durre of Minonk, IL; one
brother, Raymond Zivney of Sun City, AZ; three grandsons,
Christopher, Matthew and Scott Zivney; two great-grandsons, Trevor
and Easton Zivney; two step-grandchildren, Shane(Molly) Missey; and
Dee Missey.



He was preceded in death by his parents.



A United States Marine veteran, Shirley served his country
during WWII.



Shirley was the co-owner of Minonk Dairy Products, Inc for 20
years.



Shirley attended the United Methodist Church. He was a member of
the American Legion Post #142 in Minonk and a member of Masonic
Lodge AF& AM in Minonk.



Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Friday, November
16, 2012 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk. Pastor Angel
Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to
services on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Minonk
Township Cemetery where military rites will be accorded at the
grave.



Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes
Association or a Charity of the Donor's Choice. Online condolences
