Susan Elizabeth Gize

Minonk- Susan Elizabeth Gize, 59, of Minonk, IL passed away at
6:43 am on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Heritage Manor in Minonk
where she had been a resident.

She was born on March 27, 1953 in Phoenix, AZ a daughter of Leo
Nelson and Sylvia Rice Hilsinger. She was previously married to
Bill Gize on February 11, 1995 in Phoenix, AZ.

Surviving is one daughter, Sarah (Scott) Prosser of Minonk, IL;
her mother, Sylvia Hilsinger of Phoenix, AZ; one step-son, Brian
Gize of Phoenix, AZ; one step-daughter, Catherine Gize of Phoenix,
AZ; one sister, Janice Freeman of El Cajon, CA; one brother,
Richard Hilsinger of Phoenix, AZ; and two grandchildren, Miranda
and Tyler Prosser of Minonk, IL.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Susan worked as a corporate bookkeeper for Giant Industries in
Phoenix, AZ. She volunteered her time to a women's and children's
shelter in Phoenix. She enjoyed spending time with family and her
grandchildren were her pride and joy. She also loved to travel.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October
13, 2012 at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington, IL. Pastor
Richard Olson will officiate. Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in
Minonk is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's
