El Paso- Vicki D. Gunnerson, 64, of El Paso, IL passed away
at 4:20 pm on Monday, August 12, 2013 at her residence in El
Paso.


She was born on November 7, 1948 in Moline, IL a
daughter of Robert and Dawn Sheridan Bartel.  She married
Jerry Gunnerson on March 7, 1970 in Moline, IL.  He
survives.


Also surviving are one son, Seth Gunnerson of Cedar
Rapids, IA; her parents, Robert and Dawn Bartel of Moline, IL; two
sisters, Pamela Bartel (Robert Green) of Erie, IL; Mary (Bob)
Holcomb of Leawood, KS; and one brother, David (Cindy) Bartel of
Leawood,
KS.


She was preceded in death by one niece, Makenna Rose
Bartel-Heaney.


Vicki enjoyed playing Scrabble and listening to the
Beatles.  She did needlework and made jewelry for friends and
family.  She will be remembered as a very thoughtful and
loving person.


She was a member of the El Paso Women's Club, PTO at
El Paso-Gridley schools, and was active in Market Day.  She
served on the El Paso City Council for 2 terms after her
appointment in 1996 and was currently serving on the zoning
board.


A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on
Friday, August 16, 2013 at the Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El
Paso.  Fr. Don Roszkowski will officiate.  Visitation
will be held on Thursday evening from 5-7 pm at the funeral home
and one hour prior to the service on Friday.  Cremation rites
will be
accorded.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be
made to the El Paso Rescue Squad or the El Paso Food Pantry. Online
